- No grace period: license is suspended by operation of law the next business day after the renewal date. A timely-filed renewal (received/postmarked by the renewal date, with valid bond on file) lets the licensee keep operating until the renewal is issued.

Separate voluntary inactive status (up to 5 years, twice max) per A.R.S. 32-1125.01: reactivate with current renewal fee and 30 days' written notice.

- Arizona recognizes out-of-state licenses under A.R.S. 32-4302 (universal recognition): applicant must have held a license in the same discipline and practice level in another state for at least 12 months and meet the statute's other conditions. Separately, A.R.S. 32-1122 waives the exam only for qualifying parties who previously qualified an Arizona licensee in the same classification within 5 years.
Notes
Renewal $480 (specialty commercial, no Recovery Fund). Fees per A.R.S. 32-1126 and A.A.C. R4-9-130, biennial; confirmed on the ROC license and renewal fee page. Related classes: C-77 Plumbing incl. Solar, C-78 Solar plumbing, R-37R sub-classes, CR-77, CR-78, CR-80 Sewers/Drains/Pipe Laying. ROC bond schedule (commercial specialty, by contemplated annual volume): up to $150,000 = $2,500; to $500,000 = $7,000; to $1M = $17,500; to $5M = $25,000; to $10M = $37,500; over $10M = $50,000. Bond must be continuous (surety cancellation needs 30 days' notice to ROC); the amount can be raised at any time but lowered only at renewal; an annual-volume increase requires a bond rider.
