Notes

Washington has no separate state roofing license. Roofing is a specialty contractor classification under WAC 296-200A-016, so roofers register with L&I as specialty contractors with a $15,000 bond (a contractor registered as a general contractor posts $30,000). Fee is $150.20 for 2 years (eff. 7/1/2026).
