Check the current fee with the board. Renewal, late and reinstatement fees are set on the board's fee schedule in GOALS. Since July 1, 2026, O.C.G.A. Title 43, Chapter 14 (rewritten by Senate Bill 553) keeps two-year renewal, limits late renewal to 31 days after expiration, sets separate reinstatement paths for licenses lapsed under 3 years and 3 years or more, and does not let unused CE hours carry forward. Class I covers residential and light commercial air conditioning and heat pump systems of 60,000 BTU cooling or less and gas heating of 175,000 BTU or less. The license is held by an individual; a business registers with a qualifying licensee.
