Notes
Michigan licenses residential roofing through the Maintenance & Alteration Contractor license (roofing is one of the listed crafts) or a Residential Builder license; the craft is printed on the license. Work under $600 in total is exempt (MCL 339.2403). There is no state license for commercial-only roofing; local requirements may apply. Company licenses: see the Builder Company / M&A Company entry. Express Pay is available for the individual license.
