State license · OPLC - Mechanical Licensing Board (Mechanical Safety and Licensing Board)
- Deadline
- License is valid for 2 years and expires on the last day of the month in which it was issued (Mec 402.01; RSA 310:8, II). Renewal must be filed online with the fee and CE proof on or before the expiration date, and not more than 60 days before it. OPLC sends a reminder at least 2 months ahead, but not receiving it does not excuse a late renewal.
- Renewal cycle
- Every 2 years
- CE hours
- 6 hours
- Renewal fee
- About $198. Fees change. Check the official site for the exact amount.
- Late fee
- No separate monthly late fee. A renewal filed after expiration but within one year is processed as a reinstatement for the listed fee, which equals the renewal fee (Plc 1001.13; Plc 1002.25). Individual licenses expired 12 months or more pay a $350 reinstatement fee (Mec 501.05).
- Grace period
- None. A license not renewed by the expiration date is expired, and working on it is a violation of RSA 153:37 until it is reinstated (Mec 402.01).
